Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : केन्द्रीय विद्यालय) is a system of Central Government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Surda, which was opened in 1978 as a project school is a civil sector co-education school under the Ranchi region of the KVS, is one of the most prestigious institutsilions of learning in Ghatshila. Blissful standing on its imposing two-storied buildings, the school is located away from the busy humdrum, in the peaceful area. It is a coeducational school and classes from 1 to 12.
